A great city
We know that it can be difficult to fit all of Edinburgh's attractions and sites into a weekend - there's simply so much to see and do!
As a result, we've provided a comprehensive Edinburgh visitors guide which covers the city's best attractions throughout the year. There's no 'quiet' period in Edinburgh and we continue to appeal to visitors even during the colder winter months.
With several popular Christmas events taking place throughout the year, the city is a wonderful family destination throughout November and December. We'd strongly recommend paying us a festive visit and staying to enjoy Edinburgh's famous Hogmanay New Year's Eve festival too.
Despite the misconceptions that Scotland is a wee bit chilly, we tend to enjoy mild summers with some truly beautiful warm days. Visit Edinburgh Zoo, The Royal Botanic Gardens and Edinburgh Castle to enjoy a day out in the sunshine (bring sunscreen!). If it does pour, Edinburgh Dungeons are a rather grisly way to while away a rainy afternoon!
Our busiest period is without a doubt throughout August, when the city welcomes tourists from miles around for our annual Edinburgh Festival Fringe. With thousands of artists taking the stages to perform comedy acts, theatre, dance and much more, the Festival is guaranteed to delight visitors of all ages.
Located on Edinburgh's waterside Ocean Terminal, we pleased to say that we're based in a key tourist spot too. If you would like to dine out near the hotel, please take a look at our 'Best Edinburgh Waterside Restaurants' guide.
